Course: B.Voc in Medical Imaging Technology

The B.Voc program of Medical Imaging Technology at Guru Kashi University is aimed at making graduates confident in imparting their knowledge and technical skills for medical imaging technology in providing high-quality support for clinical investigations. Students will learn the ability to:

  • Perform Routine Procedures: Conduct Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, and Microbiology standard clinical laboratory procedures as quality control standards under the general supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Pathologist.
  • Demonstrate Professional Skills: Technical proficiency, appropriate social demeanor, and professional awareness as expected of a laboratory technician.
  • Problem Solving and Error Correction: Systematic problem solving for identification and redress of procedural errors; instrumental malfunction; appropriate supervisory support; and verification of laboratory results.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while handling quality control and safety protocols.
  • Staying Updated: Participate in activities for knowledge and skills advancement in the field of laboratory medicine and be updated with the latest developments for continuous professional advancement.
